The Picture of Dorian Gray

The Picture of Dorian Gray is about a wealthy boy called Dorian Gray who gets his picture painted by Basil Hallward. There he meets Henry Wotton, Basil's friend. Haven gotten to keep Basil's painting of him, Dorian quickly notices that the painting undergoes changes in appearance, like ageing, instead of him.
I think the general concept of the book is already good, and the book's only 200ish pages, so it'd be difficult to get bored of in such a short span anyway. The first half is mostly just introductions to the important characters but I also don't mind reading this part given I like the writing style of the author. (Do keep in mind I read a modernized version.) I don't know if I just like reading stuff made a few centuries ago or if Oscar Wilde just had a nice writing style but whatever. Also speaking of the author, this man was a wee bit gay sometimes and that also reflects in his writing. Aparently the original version of the book had Basil's obsession with Dorian be a bit more romantic than the final version, but tbh it's still a little gay.
This book also counts as a classic, I'm pretty sure, so obviously it has to be good. It holds up imo so yeah, good book :-).
